Zachary McNeil is the founder and driving force behind Proport Design, bringing over 14 years of hands-on experience in the oil and gas industry as a pipefitter, field leader, and construction professional. Throughout his career, Zachary has played key supervisory roles on major industrial projects across British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan, developing a deep understanding of field execution, project coordination, and the real-world challenges faced on construction sites.

Driven by a passion for innovation and precision, Zachary expanded his expertise into the design and technology side of construction. Working closely with engineering firms, surveyors, and construction companies, he utilizes advanced tools such as 3D laser scanning, CADWorx, Plant 3D, and Leica survey technology to create highly accurate as-built models and construction layouts. His ability to bridge the gap between engineering design and field execution helps clients reduce costly change orders, minimize RFIs, and improve overall project efficiency.

Today, Zachary is helping lead the next generation of construction technology through cutting-edge layout solutions including HP SitePrint and emerging augmented reality layout systems such as Mechasys XR.
